A bucket list is a list of things you want to do before you, excuse the pun – kick the bucket. My bucket list is compiled of a list of Goals I have made for myself + some things I would like to do while living in this amazing city. Some of my goals I accomplished in 2013 and so I have replaced them with more new exciting things on my bucket list for 2014. Some may be classed as little, while others a little far fetched, but without a few dreams where would we be?

Winter activities :

  1. Snow tubing
  2. Snow mobiling
  3. Snow angels
  4. Dog Sledding – postponed!
  5. Ice skating
  6. Skiing
  7. The Santa Parade
  8. Visit a Cottage up North in the snow
  9. Calvacade of lights Nathan Philips Square
  10. Christmas Markets at the Distillery District 

Spring + Summer activities:

  1. Bike ride around the Islands
  2. Swim in a lake
  3. Hike
  4. Webster Falls
  5. Watch the sunset on a beach
  6. Go for a boat ride along Lake Ontario [or any Lake with a boat that presents itself to me]
  7. BBQ on the rooftop
  8. An old outdoor movie
  9. Picnic in Trinity Bellwoods
  10. Cherry blossom festival at High Park
  11. Walk Don Valley trails
  12. Brunch on a patio
  13. Outdoor gig at the Canadian Amphitheater
  14. See firework display on Canada Day
  15. Sit under the stars around a campfire + make s’mores

Explore:

  1. Dinner at the top of the CN Tower
  2. Visit Toronto Islands + see the skyline
  3. Picnic at High Park
  4. Outdoor Movie contemporary
  5. Quilt Exhibition at the Black Creek Pioneer Village
  6. The Taste of Danforth [Greek Town]
  7. The textile museum
  8. Bata shoe museum
  9. AGO
  10. Royal Ontario Museum – The Big Exhibit
  11. The Design Exchange –  Christian Louboutin + Hermes
  12. Go to a Theatre downtown & see a show
  13. Casa Loma

  16. The Beaches [walk the boardwalk]
  17. St. Lawrence Market

Travel:

  1. Montreal [road trip]
  2. Alconquin [camping]
  3. Visit 1 place in the US. [Destination currently unknown]
  4. Visit Lisa in NYC [or have her come to Toronto]
  5. Visit Ireland [and have as many family members travel to visit me as possible]
  6. Spend Christmas with Lisa in NYC
  7. Spend the weekend at Niagara Falls & go on The Maid of the Mist

  8. July –  Smaller craft experiments [that can be done outdoors only]
  9. August – Smaller craft experiments [that can be done outdoors only]

Career & Personal:

  1. 1 year away from home!
  2. Start a blog about living away from home + my new life
  3. Career growth [Promotion]
  4. Buy a sewing machine
  5. Make a ginger bread house
  6. Set up an Etsy Shop
  7. Take a quilting class
  8. Learn how to knit
  9. Continue to draw
  10. Bring my dog Frankie from Ireland to Canada
  11. Eat healthy & Clean
  12. Pick up running  [Canadians love to run]

The most important of all on my bucket list..

No: 1 –  Have all Permanent Residency applications done by December 31st 2014!

As the months go on I will be adding to my list as I tick ones off. A new year means a new chapter. Let’s turn the page!
